Under the Tuscan Sun

The other day, I watched a movie called Under the Tuscan Sun. I don't recommend it. It would have been good... if you took out the sex... the awkwardness... the support of gay/lesbian relationships... but the over-all theme of the movie was good. The bottom line, was stop focusing on the crap in your life, and your pain; and see how you can bring joy to others. The main character goes through a divorce (her husband leaves her) and is completely devastated. She ends up going on a tour of Tuscany (which is a gay tour-- I'm being completely serious), and buys a villa there. At one point, she says that she wants someone to cook for, a wedding to happen at the house, and a family to live there. In the end, she has a lot of friends to cook for... there is a wedding between two young people, and her lesbian friend (who had a baby) is living with her. I wish they had cut all the crap... because there was a decent message. So... here you have it.

Regrets are a waste of time. They're the past crippling you in the present.
